The two basins are set apart from each other at right angles. This is relatively a unique concept of design that can be useful if anyone wants to maximize his/her counter space. Corner sinks can be expensive and difficult to install. Custom cuts in the counter may add to the total cost of the installing in this type of sink.
02. LOW DIVIDER SINK
Low Divider Kitchen Sink is a double basin sink, but instead of the divider rising to the level of the top of the sink, it stops partway up. A perfect combination of single basin and double basin sinks. When you fill one side low with water, it can be used as a double basin sink. But if you want to use it as a single basin simply end up filling the sink fully and easily use the sink for washing big utensils.
03. FARMHOUSE OR APRON SINK
This sink comes with a deep bowl and board or apron, which is an extension in the front. To install the sink, it may require some sort of modification of the cabinets. The front face of the cabinet that comes under the sink will be shorter and smaller than the other cabinets adjacent to it to provide space for the apron. Apron sinks also known as farmhouse sinks, have large, deep bowls.
04. PREPERATION OR BAR SINK
Prep sinks, also known as Bar sinks, play second fiddle to the main sink in the kitchen and it is installed specially for performing small tasks like rinsing fruits and vegetables and washing hands. It can be used in bars also. However, in small sized sinks, prep/bar sinks can serve all the purpose without the need of another big sink.
05. ISLAND KITCHEN SINK
Kitchen islands are becoming more and more popular these days and with that, so are kitchen island sinks. These sinks can be used as a primary or prep sink, depending on the needs of the user. Kitchen islands sinks are a great way to compliment your workflow and save your space on the main counter. These can also turn the kitchen island completely into a working space.
